Wembdon Village Hall was completed in 2017 and, together with the adjoining playing fields, is managed by a Charitable Trust. The enterprise, named The Green at Wembdon comprises the Village Green, the Village Hall, the playing fields and recreational areas and is home to Wembdon Cricket Club, Wembdon Football Club and the Sunshiners Pre-school.

Facilities include the Main Hall, which can be split into two smaller halls named Kidsbury and Crowpill, the newly-completed Sedgemoor Room, the Community Lounge, a main kitchen and secondary kitchenette, the Hall Bar, changing rooms, a Changing places fully accessible toilet, and the Sunshiners Pre-school.

Further information about the hall facilities and hire charges can be found on the Village Hall website.

The site lies between the A39 Homberg Way and Church Road Wembdon, and includes sports pitches, the children’s playground – with accessible play equipment – and Wembdon Parklands, following the masterplan drawn up in 2014.

Planning permission was granted in 2012, work started on site access and the bridge in October 2014, and building work began in Spring 2015.

Following the bankruptcy of the original building contractor, the upstairs room was left as an empty shell. It was completed in September 2022, using mainly voluntary labour, as part of the Wembdon Community Youth Project.
